Shelter Pets features plush animals that are based on real-life adopted pets. Every Shelter Pet was taken in by a non-profit shelter or rescue, and their story is featured on the Shelter Pets website along with real photos from their families.

Shelter Pets now includes six dogs, three cats, a fox, a bunny, a horse, and a rat. They all have their own story to tell, and are soft, cuddly, and ready to be loved!

Each Shelter Pet is 10 inches tall (Chunk and Xena are 10 inches long, Beaker 14 inches long) and are stuffed with beans on the bottom and in the paws.

Jeffrey the Cat From the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

Jeffrey is one of those perfect stories of how shelters can give animals a second chance. He was live trapped in the woods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and tried to attack every shelter worker out of fear. The shelter was unsure if they could ever adopt him out, but they spent months working with him until he was able to be adopted.

Since his adoption in December 2015, Jeffrey has been the most amazing cat and family member. He sits for hours with his owner during medical treatments, goes on walks outside with a harness and leash, and is a perfect example of the amazing work that shelters do to help animals get a second chance and a forever home.
